Before you Install

Minimum System requirements

• Hardware: Pentium II or better is preferred

• OS: Windows2000 SP5 or Windows XP

• RAM: at least 128M.

• Resolution: at least 1024 x 768 (65536 color or higher and small font are preferred)

Installation notes:

• Uninstall a previous TIGRAS installation from control panel "Add/Remove Programs".

• If DRAGON connection cannot be established, at minimum install SOAP Tool Kit 3.0.  This requirement can be satisfied by having .NET Framework installed on your PC.

• If you have ODBC problem during installation, please install MDAC 2.7 SP 1.

• If you encounter spr32x30.ocx self-registration problem, you may not be able to run schedule color-coded list dialog. However, the rest of TIGRAS should still work without problems. The cause of this is currently under investigation.

• MADB ODBC connection is JPL_TIGRAS as the default. Some machines could only access MADB through JPL-TIGRAS.

• The default network libraries for ODBC is TCP/IP with the installation. If you have MADB connection problem, check ODBC configuration in the control panel first. It is possible that you have "Named pipe" specified.

• TIGRAS requires that you install the NASA CA certificate to establish a secure connect to DRAGON. Download the CA certificate at http://newlondon.arc.nasa.gov. Select "Get NOCA CA Cert".

Quick TIGRAS Installation Instructions

New Installation

1. Ensure you have Administrative Privileges to install software

2. Download TIGRAS from this page and save on your PC

3. Double-Click the downloaded file

4. Click Next to Install TIGRAS

5. If necessary change user information then click Next

6. Select the location to install TIGRAS then click Next (C:\TIGRAS is the default)

7. Select the installation type and click Next (the default Typical will fully install TIGRAS)

8. Review the installation settings and click Install

9. Click Finish when done

Re-Install TIGRAS

1. Ensure you have Administrative Privileges to install software

2. Download TIGRAS from this page and save on your PC

3. Exit TIGRAS Messaging before beginning uninstall by right-mouse clicking on the TIGRAS icon in the System Tray

4. Open Control Panel

5. Open Add/Remove Programs

6. Select TIGRAS

7. Click Remove

8. Click Yes when asked "Are you are sure you want to remove TIGRAS from your computer?"

9. Click Yes to Uninstall

10. Click Finish when Uninstall is complete

11. Double-Click the downloaded file

12. Click Next to Install TIGRAS

13. If necessary change user information then click Next

14. Select the location to install TIGRAS then click Next (C:\TIGRAS is the default)

15. Select the installation type and click Next (the default Typical will fully install TIGRAS)

16. Review the installation settings and click Install

17. Click Finish when done
